Muscari are perennial plants from bulbs with basal clusters of narrow, fleshy leaves and spikes of blue, urn-shaped flowers. Plant underneath deciduous shrubs or trees or allow to naturalize with other bulbs such as Daffodils in rock gardens or woodland drifts. Attracts bees and butterflies.Water sparingly or withhold when plants go dormant. Feed with a slow release fertilizer formulated for bulbs once in early spring. M. armeniacum is hardy in zones 4-8 in April and bears spikes of royal blue, bell-shaped flowers that are edged in white.
